Across the country, state attorneys general and lawmakers are taking action against Elon Musk’s Grok AI over its role in generating and spreading sexualized deepfake images of women and children, raising serious concerns about consent, exploitation, and the lack of meaningful safeguards.

35 State Attorneys General have formally urged xAI to implement safeguards to stop Grok from being used to create non-consensual and sexualized images.

Alabama State Rep. Ben Harrison has announced plans to introduce legislation aimed at holding AI companies like Musk’s xAI  accountable when their tools are used to create non-consensual sexual imagery.
