Elon Musk has begun "cutting big checks" to fund GOP House and Senate campaigns for the 2026 midterms, signaling that his return to influencing political elections. This comes after Tesla has given him a historic paycheck that could potentially make Musk the world’s first trillionaire. 

In a Vanity Fair interview, President Trump’s Chief of Staff Susie Wiles has delivered a scathing assessment of Elon Musk's conduct during his time as the head of DOGE. She labeled Musk as an "odd, odd duck" whose actions were often far from sensible.

After years of insisting the company would remain private until it was sending regular flights to Mars, Musk recently hinted that SpaceX may be going public. The move, expected as early as 2026, could value the company at an astronomical $1.5 trillion. While the listing would provide the massive funds needed for Musk's most ambitious projects, it also guarantees an unprecedented personal windfall for the world’s richest person.

Elon Musk recently stated that his controversial leadership of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) was only “somewhat successful” and admitted, “No, I don't think so. Knowing what I know now,” when asked if he would take the job again. 

The European Union has delivered a powerful blow against Elon Musk’s social media platform, X, hitting the company with a landmark fine of €120 million (approximately $140 million). The punishment comes after a lengthy investigation by the European Commission, which concluded that X repeatedly violated key transparency and safety rules under the EU’s sweeping new law, the Digital Services Act (DSA). 

Elon Musk is known for using his social media platform to promote controversial and inflammatory ideas. Recently he has been sharing and supporting claims suggesting that "White people are on the verge of extinction," and that Somali immigrants have "no right to be in America."

Recently, Elon Musk declared that giving money away is “very hard.” This statement comes off after Tesla has agreed to give a  pay package to Musk that is worth an unprecedented $1 trillion. 

Elon Musk is now attempting to create his own private, corporate-run communities in rural Texas. While the idea of building a modern, efficient town like Snailbrook near Bastrop County may sound like a bold step toward a futuristic "utopia," it represents a dangerous throwback to the 19th-century company town—a place where a single corporation’s interests overshadow public rights and local democracy.
