According to new estimates, Elon Musk’s AI chatbot Grok generated millions of sexualized images on X in late December and early January. 

The U.S. Department of Defense has announced plans to integrate Elon Musk’s AI chatbot, Grok, into Pentagon networks, moving forward despite intense international criticism of the technology following its role in generating thousands of sexualized and explicit images of women and minors on X.

Elon Musk’s AI chatbot Grok has been generating sexualized images of women and minors on his social media platform X after users prompted it to digitally manipulate photos. This is the same chatbot that the Trump administration announced an agreement with in September, making Grok available to every federal agency at a nominal fee of 42 cents per use. 

Degrading images of children and women, digitally undressed by Elon Musk’s AI chatbot Grok, continue to circulate on X, despite the platform’s promise to suspend users who generate them.

The European Commission said Monday it is “very seriously looking” into allegations that Grok, the artificial intelligence tool developed by Elon Musk, is being used to generate and spread sexually explicit images involving minors.

Grok, the artificial intelligence chatbot integrated into Elon Musk’s social media platform X, has generated sexualized images of women — and in some cases minors — after users prompted the system to digitally alter photos.

Elon Musk is known for using his social media platform to promote controversial and inflammatory ideas. Recently he has been sharing and supporting claims suggesting that "White people are on the verge of extinction," and that Somali immigrants have "no right to be in America."

Recently, Elon Musk declared that giving money away is “very hard.” This statement comes off after Tesla has agreed to give a  pay package to Musk that is worth an unprecedented $1 trillion. 

While this information was intended to help users judge if an account was legitimate or spreading misinformation, the actual results were explosive. Users quickly applied the feature to accounts that often trended politically in the U.S. What they found was a digital masquerade. Accounts with overtly patriotic American names, claiming to speak for U.S. voters, were exposed as being run from foreign locations. 

When Elon Musk launched his AI-generated encyclopedia, Grokipedia, he promised it would "purge out the propaganda" he claimed infested Wikipedia. However, as time progresses, it is becoming clear that instead of correcting bias, Grokipedia is evolving into a massive platform for racial pseudoscience and the normalization of fringe and extreme beliefs related to white nationalism.

Elon Musk's social media platform, X, is officially facing a major legal crackdown in Europe. Ireland’s media regulator has launched a formal investigation into the platform, citing serious concerns that X is failing to protect users and properly handle reports of harmful content. This probe is a sharp and critical response to Musk’s leadership and decisions to gut content moderation teams since he took over.
