The recently unsealed Jeffrey Epstein files by the U.S. Department of Justice delve into Epstein's connections with various high-profile individuals, including figures such as Elon Musk, Bill Gates and former Prince Andrew. These revelations have emerged following the Justice Department's release, which took place more than 40 days past a legal deadline established by the Epstein Files Transparency Act, signed into law by President Trump in November. The newly disclosed documents enhance our understanding of Epstein's social circle, featuring notables like President Trump, Bill Clinton, Mick Jagger, and Larry Summers, among others, who have not been accused of any crimes. Elon Musk In emails dated back over a decade, correspondence between Elon Musk and Epstein hints at shared holiday experiences in the Caribbean, indicating Musk may have visited Epstein's island at least once. In a 2012 email, Epstein inquired about Musk’s plans for a helicopter ride to his island, to which Musk responded he would likely bring his then-wife, Talulah Riley.
President Trump
Documents reveal numerous references to President Trump, who maintains he ended his friendship with Epstein two decades ago after banning him from Mar-a-Lago. Trump asserts that the material released serves to further exonerate him, citing a deposition from Epstein’s former house manager claiming Trump “never” stayed overnight at Epstein's residence.
Former Prince Andrew
Among the released materials is a photograph of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, commonly known as Prince Andrew, in a compromising position over an unidentified woman. The details surrounding this image, including its context and date, remain undetermined. Despite these releases, Andrew has consistently denied any misconduct and has faced significant consequences for his association with Epstein, including the loss of royal titles. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has called for Andrew to cooperate with U.S. investigators regarding Epstein’s activities.
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick
Records show that Howard Lutnick, a former Wall Street executive and current Commerce Secretary, took his family to Epstein’s island in 2012. Emails indicate that Lutnick coordinated a trip with Epstein’s assistant, though he claimed to have severed ties with Epstein after a disturbing visit to his New York townhouse in 2005. A spokesperson has emphasized that Lutnick has never been accused of any wrongdoing in connection with Epstein.
New York Giants Co-owner Steve Tisch
In 2013, New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch corresponded with Epstein regarding several women, including discussions about a “Ukrainian Girl.” Tisch has publicly expressed regret over their past interactions, stating, “We had a brief association where we exchanged emails about adult women… I did not take him up on any of his invitations and never went to his island.”
Bill Gates
Newly revealed emails from Epstein in 2013 make unverified allegations about Bill Gates, claiming he had extramarital relations with Russian women, which led to a sexually transmitted infection. Gates’ spokesperson labeled these claims as “absurd and completely false,” asserting that they reflect Epstein’s attempts at defaming Gates. Reports suggest Epstein may have attempted to intimidate Gates following an alleged affair with a Russian bridge player named Mila Antonova.
Steve Bannon
Video footage from a nearly two-hour interview between Steve Bannon and Epstein has surfaced, where Bannon questioned Epstein about his status as a sexual predator. Previous communications indicate that Epstein sought Bannon’s help in restoring his reputation through a documentary project. Furthermore, Bannon and his son reportedly received Hermes Apple watches as gifts from Epstein.
Brett Ratner
The files include photographs of filmmaker Brett Ratner with Epstein and additional individuals. In the past, Ratner has faced sexual harassment allegations, which he has denied. Currently, he is involved in a documentary on Melania Trump.
Dr. Mehmet Oz
A transaction report indicates Jeffrey Epstein financed travel for Dr. Mehmet Oz in 2004, further complicating his ties to Epstein. Oz's communication with Epstein also included an invitation to an event where he was a guest speaker, though Epstein did not attend.
